I was able to get a Claude Lemieux on Ebay.
There have been several master photos and Award Winners listed on Ebay recently.
There is a Bure Master Photo going for $20 and the auction ends tomorrow. there is also a Felix "the Cat" Potvin Award Winner with bids of $12.
Then there are several others with no bids. I may swoop in and pick up as many as I can at $1-2 and hope to save on the shipping.
The Ebay shops of Parallel Dave and Burbank Sports cards usually have a few of the numbered 01/02 Topps Stadium Club numbered cards.
As for the Selanne and McCarty that I need, I've looked just about everywhere, maybe someone with those cards will find me.

Seven Years
The 01/02 Stadium Club set was a record of the 00/01 season.
Seven years has passed since it's issue. When I look at the cards in the set of 140 I so so many players that are no longer in the league.
The greats like Mario, Yzerman, Messier, Francis and Roy. And also Nieuwendyk, Hull, Mogilny, oates.
I'm guessing close to half are no longer in the league. Some of the propects and rookies never established themselves. And some of the young stars featured in the set are now marquee players in the league.
The set is a great connector for today and 20 years of hockey history.

Successful Weekend
I was able to land 3 of the 7 Master Photos i needed going into the weekend.
I won the Amonte in an Ebay auction.
I got the Deadmarsh from Parallel Dave. I picked up three Award winners from him too:
Kovalev, blackburn and Niewendiek. Dave is great he sends out weekly emails and has an ebay store. If you have Deadmarsh cards there is a guy that goes by Deader who has a huge collection.
And I got a Kraft from Rene Hatlas. He's great too. He's looking for Award winners also.

Quirkness within the main set
The base set, which i consider card 1 -140, has several transitions in quality.
Cards 1- 100 are premium quality. The logos for the team and Stadium club are foiled on the card and the silver/ Grey strip that has the player name written on it are added after the printing. I would say these cards are photo quality.
Cards 101 -140 are also high quality but not high (IMO) as the lower #ed cards. This is too bad because they are the transaction, premium prospects and rookie cards.
It seems that the later cards were printed in a one step process or just the high quality foil was dropped.
I actually have pulled error cards from packs. I have a Martin Brodeur card that has half of his name missing.( off center)
I also have two cards with the wrong names foiled onto the card.
The Award Winner Parallel set has the same quality change above card #101. But the Master Photos have all the foiling removed so the have consistent quality from card 1 to 140.
Regardless of the higher number quality drop off. I would say that These are some of the nicest cards ever produced.
